Red Feather Society

The Red Feather Society

Leadership Giving. Meaningful Change.

The Red Feather Society is a special group of leadership donors who are committed to making a real, lasting difference in the lives of people in need across Palm Beach County.

Founded in 1987 by Helen Messic, who also served as the Society’s first chair, the Red Feather Society was created to build deeper, more personal connections with donors who give at a leadership level. Helen’s vision was to establish a long-term strategy for recognizing generosity while fostering a powerful culture of giving.

A Legacy of Compassionate Leadership

Red Feather Society members share more than generosity; they share a passion for impact. Each member contributes a minimum of $1,000 annually to the Town of Palm Beach United Way, knowing their investment helps fund programs and services that produce measurable results on critical community issues.

We’re proud to have Cara Coniglio McClure serve as this year’s Red Feather Society Chair, continuing a tradition of passionate leadership and community advocacy.

$19 Million Raised—and Counting

Since its founding, the Red Feather Society has raised $19 million, creating real change and hope for individuals and families throughout our county.

Together, we lead with purpose, give with heart, and build a better future for all.
