The Town of Palm Beach United Way congratulates Kathleen Waddell, recipient of the 2022 Nettie Finkle Award for outstanding volunteer service. Waddell has been a volunteer at El Sol Resource Center since 2016.

The Nettie Finkle Award honors an individual who exemplifies volunteerism and whose commitment to bringing hope, promise and opportunity into the lives of others has left a lasting, positive impact on a person, group or community at large.

All Town of Palm Beach United Way nonprofit partner agencies are eligible to nominate a volunteer. The 2023 nomination process will open in February 2023.

Nettie Finkle was an outstanding member of the Palm Beach community and an exceptional volunteer for several charitable organizations. Her 75 years of community service, across states and continents, demonstrated that people all over the world are concerned with the needs of their neighbors.  She helped those less fortunate through her extraordinary leadership, generosity and integrity.
