Editorial: A big thanks to donors who helped toy drive hit new record

This year has been one for the record books.

And in the year of the coronavirus pandemic, most of the news has been bad. But even in these dark times, the light of kindness shone brightly in the awe-inspiring amount of donations to the 27th annual toy drive.

The record-setting drive, coordinated by the Town of Palm Beach United Way in partnership with the Palm Beach Daily News, the town's Fire-Rescue Department and the Worth Avenue Association, brought in $33,555 in donations in addition to about 1,600 toys that were dropped off.
