The Town of Palm Beach United Way hosted the 30th Annual Alexis de Tocqueville Society Award Dinner March 18 at Club Colette in recognition of its leading contributors. Longtime donors Norma and Bill Tiefel were honored with the “Distinguished Citizen Award.” The award is the highest accolade the Town of Palm Beach United Way bestows and recognizes unparalleled leadership in philanthropy.
Debra Vasilopoulos, chairman of this year’s Alexis de Tocqueville Society, thanked members for their dedication and support. To date, the society has raised $3,118,656. In its 30-year history, the Alexis de Tocqueville Society has raised more than $71 million to help individuals and families in need throughout Palm Beach County.
