When Bob and Susan Wright headed out for the Alexis de Tocqueville Society recognition dinner April 14, they knew they would be honoring a Town of Palm Beach United Way volunteer.
But, because the winner of Distinguished Citizen Award is kept secret until the moment of presentation, the Palm Beach couple didn't know who.
Now they do.
The Wrights were named recipients of the 35th annual award, the highest accolade given by the organization, recognizing "unparalleled leadership in philanthropy."
