A new $50,000 matching gift to the Town of Palm Beach United Way is helping strengthen Hurricane Melissa relief efforts by boosting a fund that had already raised more than $100,000 after it was launched Oct. 30.
Palm Beach residents Susan and Dom Telesco made the latest donation to support the organization's Hurricane Melissa Recovery Fund, the United Way announced Nov. 4. The fund was established with a $50,000 dollar-for-dollar matching gift from Palm Beach Mayor Danielle Moore, shortly after the deadly storm battered Haiti and Jamaica Oct. 28.
