Town of Palm Beach United Way School Supply Drive collects thousands of classroom items

Thousands of school supplies and $18,430 in donations were collected during the Town of Palm Beach United Way's 10th annual School Supply Drive.

Some 16,500 items — including pencils, pens, crayons, markers, notebooks, erasers, backpacks, folders and binders— as well as monetary donations, were collected July 25 through Aug. 8.

“We are thrilled by the response from the Palm Beach community,” said Bill Tiefel, Town of Palm Beach United Way board chairman. “Our supporters really stepped up, especially during a difficult financial year for so many families in Palm Beach County.”
