It's time to donate to annual school-supply drive | Editorial

The summer is in full swing, and most children in Palm Beach County are on a break from school. But they know that in a matter of weeks, classes will start again.

With the start of school in the fall, will come the need for students to have the tools to focus on getting their work done.

But sadly, some families won’t be able to afford crucial school supplies.

Palm Beach residents can help by donating to Town of Palm Beach United Way's 14th annual school-supply drive, which collects items and monetary donations to benefit low-income Palm Beach County families. The drive, which launches July 13, runs through Aug. 3. The Palm Beach Daily News and Palm Beach Fire-Rescue Department are co-sponsors.
