Donate to school supply drive to ensure kids have what they need to thrive | Editorial

Many children are enjoying the remaining glorious days of summer vacation, when the daily routines of school are still a distant prospect. But they’ll soon return to the classroom for a new year of learning.

Some students could arrive unprepared to focus on their work at school and at home because they lack supplies — everything from pencils and crayons to notebooks and backpacks.

That’s where the work of the Town of Palm Beach United Way comes in. Its 13th annual School Supply Drive will help fill the gap between what parents, and often teachers, provide, and the unmet need.
