Runners wearing pilgrim hats, pushing strollers, toting dogs –- and a few with serious faces -– were among the about 1,400 participants in Thursday morning’s United Way Turkey Trot.
″This is amazing,” said Philadelphia visitor Amanda Loren, a 27-year-old law student at Temple University. “I’d be freezing right now at our Schuylkill River Navy Run if I was home.”
