A crowd of 1,100 runners, walkers, and trotters began their Thanksgiving Day by participating in the 7th Annual Town of Palm Beach United Way’s Turkey Trot.
This year’s race was hosted by the “Islanders”, and graciously underwritten by title sponsors, Livingston Builders and Wally Findlay Galleries.
The proceeds from the event helped provide over 2,300 Thanksgiving meals for families at local nonprofit agencies – Achievement Centers, Alzheimer’s Community Care, ARC of the Glades, AVDA, Center for Family Services, El Sol, Families First, H.A.C.E.R., Homeless Coalition, Home Safe, Meals on Wheels, Seagull Services, Opportunity, Inc., Palm Beach Habilitation Center, The Center for Family Services, The Lord’s Place and YWCA of Palm Beach County.
