At its annual celebration Wednesday, April 26, 2017, the Town of Palm Beach United Way recognized the donors and volunteers who gave time, talent and treasure throughout the 2016-2017 campaign that will close on June 30 of this year. This year’s effort will provide $3,493,060 in funding through the Town of Palm Beach United Way’s community allocation process to 45 health and human service agencies that deliver services to families and individuals in Palm Beach County through 88 programs. The Town of Palm Beach United Way recognized the 2016 campaign volunteers and other volunteers spanning all ages who provided multiple services throughout the year – including the Annual School Supply Drive and the 5K Turkey Trot.
The Nettie Finkle Award was presented by Mayor Gail Coniglio to Tammy Culmer, a volunteer at Take Stock in Children. Tammy exemplifies the leadership, generosity and integrity that the Nettie Finkle Award encompasses bringing hope to the lives of her students and those in the community she touches with her time and devotion.
